Yeah, Dell doesn't sell it with drives larger than 2tb, so it's only validated with drives up to that size. Larger drives will still work, but you need to initialize it with GPT not MBR otherwise you will only be able to use 2tb. Also for how long have you kept this configuration and for how long do you expect your storage to be will intact before you need a replacement any estimations or guesses? I think that really depends on many factors, including but not limited to blind luck, the quality of the drive, the type of drive, environmental conditions, and the amount of use it gets e.
Most retail hard drive manufacturers warrant the drive for around 3 to 5 years, so I would expect on average use, a drive should last at least that long. I've had drives last longer, and shorter, I don't think anyone can guarantee a useful life. Also I have checked your posts just wanted to ask how did you add 3 M. Also you mentioned that it's better to get a 1TB M. Because I am thinking of switching my hard drive into something which is more reliable in terms of long term usage and something which is cost-effective as you mentioned.

Ignore my previous post Instead can you help me out in this? I am thinking of getting an M. Like can someone suggest me a solid number for my next upgrade? Yea, you should get as much storage as you need for the sata drive. You would know best how much you need. Good morning Sir. I own an Aurora R6 and would like to upgrade my M.
Browse Community. The Alienware Aurora range represents the apex of pre-built gaming machine design and for many a dream desktop. Subsequently, Alienware Aurora prices can range up to the several thousands, depending on what you're looking for.
There are plenty of options however, that can help cut that asking price significantly. Specs, regions, and sales events are all considerations here, and we've put together this guide to help you find the lowest prices possible. There are three models in the lineup right now - the brand new Aurora R11, the slightly older Aurora R8and the wild-card Aurora R10 Ryzen Edition, which exclusively features the latest tech from team red.
Depending on your location, you might also be lucky enough to pick up a cheap discontinued Aurora R9although stocks are clearing fast right now as they make space for the brand new R11's. When it comes to scoring cheap Alienware Aurora deals, there are actually more options than you may think. You could opt to customize and buy directly from Dell, which is a great option when they run their seasonal sales - normally in July and November.
If you're lucky you can also potentially bag discounts at Amazon, who we've included in our price comparisons just down below. The Alienware Aurora R11 is the current flagship from Alienware, fresh off the presses with a brand new design and packing 10th Gen Intel Core processors.
The Aurora R11 features the newest desktop chassis design from Alienware, which they've dubbed 'Legend'. It currently comes in two colors, a silver called 'Lunar Light' and a dark grey called 'Dark Side of the Moon' - which both feature fully customizable RGB lighting.
Like the older cases, this new design is fully modular and features a tool-less design that makes tinkering super easy. In the UK? The R11 hasn't been released in the UK yet but you can still pick up the excellent Alienware Aurora R9which features the same chassis but with slightly older 9th Gen Intel Core processors.
Included below are the best prices in your region currently. The Alienware Aurora R8 is the oldest Alienware gaming desktop you can buy right now, but it's still a worthy option if you're looking for a cheap pre-built gaming machine. It's slightly older case design might be more appealing to some as it features a more understated aesthetic as opposed to the flashier R10 and R11 Auroras.
That said, it's still fully modular and features the handy tool-less design, which means you won't have to get out the screwdrivers to get under the hood and upgrade.
There are also options for liquid cooling, but if you want dual GPU's you won't find them here - as is standard for all the Alienware Aurora's.
Most AMD Ryzen CPUs are available on this model, ranging from a humble Ryzen 5 to a monstrous Ryzen 9 X, which gives you plenty of options, despite not having any of the usual suspects from team green.
Alienware PCs are worth it if you've got a little cash to splash and want a slick, ready to go gaming machine that you customize before you can buy.
Whether you need a powerful machine or not is really a subjective thing depending on what games you're planning to run, but even Alienware still has plenty of options for all budgets. Big bucks for sure, but you're getting a machine that will demolish most modern games and be ready to take on the fast encroaching next-gen.
Performance-wise, the Alienware Auroras are fantastic gaming desktops that offer the very latest components from AMD and Intel.
Subsequently, you'll be getting decent performance from any of these desktops in accordance to their respective budget ranges. While in previous years, It's definitely true that Alienware wasn't as good value as other options, recently they've definitely started to catch up with the competition in regards to value. While once upon a time, it was more cost-effective to simply buy each component separately and assemble your gaming PC by yourself, nowadays, that value gap has significantly narrowed.I'm considering adding more storage to my new-ish R7.

You might need an extra SATA-cable or something, but that's about it. There is only one obvious benefit, but in my opinion I've read about problems with RAID0 arrays. It may be more hassle than it's worth. I've never tried it before so I could use it as a learning experience. I appreciate your reply. Wait, I just purchased a EVO 2. If I check their prices on the internet, there are considerable differences, and as far as I know there are similar differences in quality. There are many no-name low quality products as well. Another question is, are the brands of the various hardware the same regardless of the country, or can they actually be different if I live in the US and buy from there, or live in Sweden and buy from there?
I will try to call the telephone number on the Swedish site tomorrow, it will be Monday then. But I am eager to know these things, so I wanted to ask here as well. However, I've read they install various brands sometimes so it might be a bit of a lottery. As long as it works, you are good. I have no budget in mind. Depends on what you want and the current pricing, when I bought mine the discounts were worth getting a drive that benches a little slower for now. At that point you could get the slowest NVME drives on the market and you will never saturate that bandwidth unless you are doing a lot of pro level 8k video.
As for the TI, I have been all over this myself over the summer, my suggestion would be to just save the cash now and get a TI. Wait a few years for the better versions of the boards to come out and the prices to come down. I say this mainly becasue with the exception of benchmark numbers you will not really notice a practical difference in the TI vs TI.
Hopefully raytracing becomes more of a thing in gaming and you will really be able to take advantage of that advanced hardware. The only caveat to this is if you actually do plan to do AI type development. If this is your bag then getting the TI now will really help you day-to-day. This will be my first pre-build pc i will be buying as before I always built PCs myself which makes me somehow believe it is easier to upgrade individual components that way. I just want to avoid tinkering on my setup and run it at full performance for the upcoming years.
I want to aim at running "modern" games at fps constant on a x screen. Although, the RTX Ti does do justice when you look at the benchmarks on p, hoping it will do better when Nvidia comes with optimized gfx card drivers What do you say?
Upgrading as part of the build is better from a support perspective, however if i did not want the warranty options and financing offered I would have built. I built a pretty much identical spec system for my wife from scratch this summer. All in all still got better hardware for the same money, I just had to build and configure the damn thing. If turn key and warranty is what you want then I would say spec it how you like. If you know how to build and are not interested in the warranty options I would keep DiY building if I were you esp if you want the fastest stuff available.

Philip Hammond will unveil his spending plans and any tax hikes or cuts in a speech to the House of Commons, followed by a debate. But in November Mr Hammond announced the Autumn Statement would be scrapped with the main Budget switched to the autumn from 2017. BBC Two is covering the Budget announcement from 11.
You can follow all the news and reactions on our live blog. Alcohol duty could be raised, but cigarettes and diesel duty are thought to be safe from an increase. Some Tory backbenchers are in open revolt over reforms that will see some shopkeepers and publicans clobbered with tax hikes of up to 400 per cent.
The Government is also under intense pressure to give a cash injection to the crisis-hit NHS and care for the elderly. Mr Hammond was given a boost this week as a surge in tax receipts sent government borrowing to its lowest January level in 17 years. Because of his fears of uncertainty, and a debt mountain edging towards 90 per cent of GDP, experts say the Chancellor is not likely to splurge. Drinkers will be hoping he does not raise tax on booze after George Osborne last year froze the duty on beer spirits and most ciders.
Mr Hammond froze fuel duty but did not mention booze or fags in his maiden mini-budget in November. Listen on DAB, via the talkRADIO app or online at talkradio.

What is clear is that the more lurid predictions made by the Remain camp before the vote have not come to pass. Here we look at some of those predictions and take stock of what Brexit has done to interest rates, inflation, pensions, foreign exchange rates and more. What has actually happened Mortgage rates, and other interest rates, have fallen in response to Brexit.
Analysis The former prime minister and chancellor presumably expected sterling to fall far more than it did after the vote, forcing the Bank of England to raise rates to attract money back to Britain. But although the pound has fallen, the decline has not been calamitous (see below). As a result, the Bank was able to cut rates earlier this month.
Those who want to take out fixed-rate loans have also seen rates fall.
