I copied and pasted the folder then did a fresh install over the top of it thinking it would just overwrite the files that needed to be updated to new 2.
After that DCS had me reinstall the F5. After jumping in it became obvious that none of the cockpit switches were clickable anymore. Does anyone know what I did or am doing wrong? I imagine its something easy. Originally Posted by PJG. Sometimes, I've got the same issue. Restarting DCS helps. This issue has been reported on many times over the last couple of years in other threads. That is why I asked about running a lower res than native.Cz 82 magazine pouch
It has to do with DCS appearing to be in full screen, but it's not. This is usually seen by some tearing if you move your head left and right quickly. To get it into proper full screen, hitting alt-enter works, but DCS becomes confused if you are in a lower than native res, and the screen is shifted to its theoretical correct relative position to the native res.
For example, if you are running DCS on a 4K monitor at x, the 'confused screen' is actually positioned in the top left quarter of the monitor. When you see this issue, move your mouse around the top left of the screen.
You'll see the cursor turn green in certain places. Until this is properly fixed - although we've been waiting a long time! Problem has then disappeared and you are back to normal. Yes, restarting DCS can help - as this issue doesn't always occur - but my suggestion works every time and doesn't require you to restart your DCS session. Mark Forums Read. This usually happens when the resolution is not in the correct setting, did you maybe change aspect ratio? Usually DCS will change that depending on the resolution, I prefer to use fullscreen and do not have had that issue in dcs yet.

The game went full screen, and now my mouse cursor is stuck limited to a smaller region of the screen than is being displayed. It is still moving in an area of the screen with the same aspect ratio of the actual display but I cannot move beyond the invisible borders and therefor can't select any of the buttons. Is this a game issue?
A Windows mouse setting issue? Has anyone else experienced this and corrected it? Last edited: Jul 24, JuxtorJul 23, I have been having a cursor problem as well when i press ctrl it goes to the bottom left side of the screen does yours do that as well or are you not in game when it does it to you?
I re-installed the game and have now been able to play it in a Windowed mode, but I prefer to play in Full screen. JuxtorJul 24, Has Chucklefish even acknowledged this bug, it seems to be affecting several players. I've skimmed through recent forum posts and it appears this bug came with the full release, and that the only notice it's receiving is from the users experiencing it.
I for one would like to be able to enjoy fullscreen but currently cannot because of this issue. I use a steam controller and it is difficult to control the cursor with total precision and the only thing more frustrating than accidentally clicking out of the games window because I can't play in fullscreen is being ignored by the developer when trying to find a solution.
I know it's a relatively recent bug, but it would be nice to know if they plan on fixing it or even if they know it exists.

Mouse not detected or working in Windows
Store Page. Global Achievements. When video options set to 3 monitors, in-game mouse clicks do not work.
This goes beyond just a some cockpits not be intractable with the mouse. Mouse doesn't work for all in-game menus Start, Briefing,Options, Quit, Mouse will works during the main menu when DCS displays in a single window. And in-game mouse clicks work if set to 1 monitor. I've uninstalled and re-installed, turned off Areo Interface, with no change in the issue. Specs: DCS ver: 1. Showing 1 - 5 of 5 comments. Tatsue View Profile View Posts.
Most likely, what has happened is that Windows is not considering the DCS process as "in focus", causing mouse clicks to not be passed on to the game process. Sometimes, alt-tab twice "fixes" this. Out of game, back to game, effectively reminding Windows that "yeah, I'm playing this thing".
When running 3-screen, what is your exact method? Is it a x fullscreen, windowed etcetera? This might make it easier to figure out what is happening and how to permanently avoid it. Have you conducted any configuration file editing for it? If you get me some info on that, I'll hopefully be able to find some answers for you. Also, have you checked our forums in case other users have encountered the same thing?

In other words the button I want to click is on the center screen but if I move the mouse over the approximate same position on the right monitor, the cursur will change green and I can click the button. I've tried rearranging my monitor plugs with no success. The mouse lines up with the buttons, however I had to turn the in game graphics to medium.

DCS then treats it like a signle display and in-game mouse clicks work. Even the load screens span across all monitors. Before everything just showed on my main middle monitor until the game action started, then it showed on 3 screens. For A 1. Hit esc and the mouse won't function on that screen, to quit, go to briefing ect. Then it will work. Unchecking "Disable Aero Interface" on the graphics settings solves the problem.
Just read about this in another thread, I'm having the same issues in the A10 and BS haven't tried in the P51 yet. Looks like the Aero option is causing problems for a few of us. The "aero bug" and fix along with the "disable Aero" option needs to be made a sticky in each sub-forum, perhaps? This should be a sticky -- I finally searched for it and located it, but you gotta figure every new user is running into this. Thanks to all that have pointed this out.
